Only at walmart. My roommate goes, "that must be whats wrong with our love lives. We had the wrong lightbulbs!" Apparently if you buy these your food and your face look nicer. Seems legit to me.

This has my name all over it
My mom texted me and said she was down the shore but that she left me leftovers in the fridge. I went home to hang out today and the baked ziti had my name all over it... literally.

Crazy week
Sorry I haven't posted recently but I had a crazy week. Between work, classes, back to school night, and errands I didn't stop. Then I got sick and put everything on hold. I took a couple pictures but nothing too noteworthy. Here is my super clean car that my dad waxed for me. And the disgusting turkey vultures that I run from every morning at work.

Trouble with the curve
Me and my mom went to see the movie Trouble With the Curve. We both thought it looked good and it had some celebrities in it such as Clint Eastwood and Justin Timberlake. A few minutes into the movie we got the best surprise. Matt Bush was in it! Matt was a boy I went to high school with. Hes friends with my brother. Recently hes been showing up in movies and tv. I guess its working out for him.
New toy
I got a motorcycle! Wasn't that fast. My dad found it online and it was in the area so he checked it out. I got the money while he called the guy. The guy could deliver it today so here it is.

Professor
Wednesday was my first college class. I was extremely nervous. I got there very early to check out the room. It was in a building all the way on the back of campus with nothing in it except the desks and a blackboard. Not a whiteboard or a projector but an old fashioned chalk board. Once I started teaching I was fine though, the nerves went away. Also, someone call me professor!

Test day
I passed! I got some points deducted for going outside of the lines on a U turn and not stopping fast enough on another part. But it was still enough to pass. Yay! Now I need to practice.
Motorcycle class
Friday night I started motorcycle class. We didn't leave the classroom on Friday though. The fun stuff started Saturday. We had to start at 7:00 am so I got up very early to get there. I didn't want to be dorky and take a picture of the bike so here's a picture of them before we started from far away.

New table
Check out my new table! Me and my mom saw this table at the store. She was going to buy it for me for Christmas. When she went to buy it she realize that it was gigantic and in many boxes. She decided she did not want the boxes sitting around her house until Christmas so she had my dad deliver it and assemble it here. Then he took my old table and delivered it to my brother. That is how me and my brother both got new tables as gifts for no reason today.

A room full of crazies
I went to the board meeting at the condo association today. It was like Jerry Springer live! People are suing the board, the board is suing residences. Everyone's money is being thrown out the window. It was nuts! So much screaming. Now I remember why I don't go to these things.

Family mystery
Today my brothers friend posted on facebook that she "made it to tomorrow " because she is traveling to New Zealand. That got me thinking... if you move across so many time zones like that and never return you are actually not a year older on your birthday because you skipped a day. And vice versa coming here. They are actually a year older the day before their birthday. I shared this thought with my mom and she pointed out that people during WWII lost whole years because they lied about their age to get into the service. She continues to tell me that they never actually knew how old my grandpop was when he died because of that. What!? You think someone would have mentioned this when I was researching my family tree last year. Here I was finding clues about 5th and 6th generation when there was a better mystery much closer to the trunk of this family tree. So I set out today to find some answers.
My mom said that when my grandfather died she thought he was 68. So did her mother and brother. My grandfather's brother though thought he was 70. This makes no sense to me because you would assume his brother would know the real (younger) age and the family would know the post war (older/ lied about) age. Thats backwards though. I cant use any military data because that can be wrong so I decided to check the census for some clarification. My grandpop died in Jan of 91. He was born in Oct. My mom thinks he was born in 1922. Her uncle thought 1920. The 1930 census was taken in April and it said that at his last birthday he was 8. Which would mean he turned 8 in Oct of 1929. Which would mean he was 69 when he died.
Not only did that not help but it actually served to further confuse the mystery. If anyone has any suggestions on how I can solve this, please let me know.
Great urban race
Yesterday I ran the Great Urban Race in Philly with my friends Katherine, Brian, and AJ. It was so much fun. Basically its a huge scavenger hunt around the city. At the start they give you 12 clues and you have to complete 11 of them. They were little brain teasers that brought you to different locations. At the locations you had to get pictures of your team doing certain things and pick up answers to questions or business cards as proof that you were there. You could do them in any order. There were some teams that were very serious. They brought maps and were sprinting around clues. Then there were teams like us who walked and stopped for snacks. But we did so much better than we thought! When we got back we were surprised to see some running teams behind us. It was a really great time and I would suggest it to anyone who is looking for something new to try.
Here is a picture of our team completing one of the clues.

Back to school
It was my first day back at school. It actually wasn't that painful because it poured all day. It's easier to go to work when you can't be at the pool or beach anyway. Heres a picture of my newest (but not my best) bulletin board.

Surprise!
So my friends tell me they are having a bbq. Its labor day so I have no reason to think otherwise. I wasn't looking forward to it because it was raining and I thought I wouldn't know anyone. Turns out I knew everyone because it was actually a surprise graduation party for me! I realized it in slow motion. First, I saw my work friend at my kickball friends house. Then I saw my parents who were down the shore. Slowly my brain saw the sign and cake and put it all together. Clearly, my friends are amazing. They organized the whole thing together, gathered all of my friends and family, and then surprised me by waiting til the end of the summer. It was awesome!

Canadian Fathers Day
For Father's Day I got my dad tickets to ride in a biplane. We cashed them in today, which coincidentally is Canadian Father's Day. It was so much fun! And it wasn't scary at all. We left from the Ocean City airport and flew North to the end of the island. We saw our house from the air. Then we flew up and down the coast and then landed again. It was all opened and very windy. You could see everything really clearly. We also got to wear the cool hats like in the olden days. It was definitely the best Canadian Father's Day I've ever had!
Distinguished
I think all it takes to be a distinguished adjunct is showing up to the meetings. Thats all I had to do to get the pin anyway!
