Would you like some cheese with that whine?

I can't handle anymore whining. I quit facebook to get away from it. Soon I am going to have to quit talking to people too because it never ends. Sorry but sometimes if its not my problem I just don't care.

Cashing in my karma

I spent the majority of this weekend reading this book for class and tutoring a friend in math. Turns out the book is really interesting and the friend really needs my help. So I'm doing the good deed in exchange for only some good karma. I plan to cash my good karma points in for a date with a nice boy. It's only fair right... what goes around comes around.

Forgot my camera

Friday night I went bowling with the kickball team. Saturday I met Roseann, Andre, and Faith for lunch. Sunday I met Kate and Katherine for lunch. All were supposed to be the pictures of the day but I forgot at every place. Oh well. Having too much fun I guess.

You can pay for school...

I love when class is interesting and you learn something you will remember for life. My class this semester is about being an effective leader. We had the most interesting activity yesterday. There were 4 teams and each team had to vote blue or red. If you and the team you were partnered with both voted blue, both teams got 5 points. If 1 team voted red and 1 voted blue, the blue team had to give the red team 5 points. If both teams voted red they both lost 5 points. I thought the activity was going to be really stupid because everyone would just pick blue every time. Turns out that is the view point of a trusting person. People were picking red all over. We were allowed to conference and make decisions together and people would still lie to benefit themselves. We learned very quickly how fast a trust can be broken. Eventually teams tried to back stab the unloyal teams and everyone was losing. It was so eye opening! Im going to remember this when I become a leader. Four rounds of this game and I went from thinking everyone would do what was best for the team to realizing once a trust is broken its hard to recover. Not everyone thinks alike. Good job professor!

Their only two fans

I was in the car with Tricia today when Sclub7 came on her satellite radio. Both of our jaws dropped. I think we are the only two people in the world who actually know of them... and like them. I'm glad I was with her because she could appreciate how rare and awesome it was to hear them on the radio. I don't think they were even on the radio when they were famous.

Sea shells

My coworker went to St. Martin and brought me back some sea shells because she thought they would make me happy. She was right!

Nature

The icy rain froze to a cobweb and made an ice string from one bush to the other. It made it look like the ice was hovering. Isn't that cool!

Neighborhood cats

At home we have this neighborhood cat named Petey. He belongs to the neighbor but he wanders around outside. We watch him run around the neighborhood and torture the other animals. The whole block is clearly his yard. All of the other animals and people know and respect Petey. At my new neighborhood we have a similar cat. He is a little lazier. Rather then running around chasing other animals he lounges on the neighborhood chairs. I don't know his name, but hes definitely no Petey.

Whats your type

While I was watching a movie with Kate we decided to change her picture ID in my phone so that Paul Walker's picture appeared instead when she called. Then I thought it would be fun to do that with everyone. So I changed all of my friends' IDs in my phone to pictures of good looking celebrities. In real life my preferred "type" of guy is non-annoying with a job. As Kate pointed out when looking at my celebrity choices though, they all have a similar look. Turns out I have a type after all! Just call my phone sometime to see what it is.

Picture frames

I put my new frames up today. I think I may just leave the other paintings there too.

Melted cheese heaven

Me and Danielle found the perfect restaurant, the Melting Pot. How can you not love a place where you eat bread and cheese for an appetizer and cakes dipped in melted chocolate and peanut butter for dessert. We didn't even get a meal cause the cheese and chocolate was so good. Here is a picture of Danielle with the fondue and her outlet bargain of the day. She got a coach purse and I got a Wii game. Overall it was a very fun shopping day.

Nails

For christmas I got my mom those new gel nail polishes and the supplies to go with them. Apparently you can not break or bit them and they last for 3 weeks. Here is our first attempt. A little bright for our taste but overall not too shabby.

Bustavazul

I was picking the beans out of my pasta fagioli at lunch one day and my friend said her son (who is my age btw) does the same thing. At home she started making her soup with different beans and she was convinced that I would like them. She made a pot for her family yesterday and brought me a bowl for lunch. Wasn't that nice of her. Then she also brought me a baggie of cheese to go with it. That's when she officially passed the Italian mama test! She was the right. Her soup is very different than my moms but very good. It had meat, carrots, tomatoes and different beans that I didn't expect to see in pasta fagioli. I ate the whole thing before I could take a picture of it so here is a picture of the now empty bowl.

PS- When I was little, thats how I thought you spelled/ said pasta fagioli.

Good hair day

Three people asked me today if my hair was natural. By the fourth person I asked why they thought I had done something different. Turns out I was having such a good hair day it looked like I used a curling iron. I didn't. Beats me what makes a good hair day vs a bad one because I do it the same way everyday and I never know what im going to get. Here is a picture of the ringlet that apparently tricked four people today.

Soap operas

If I worked nights I think I would be addicted to soap operas. Although I have never watched one, I love the soap net channel. I used to watch it cause they played 90210. This morning I felt like I was coming down with a cold so I spent the entire day watching a soap net marathon of a show I had never seen before. Four hours later im hooked. This is the 90210 experience all over again. If they start playing Dawson's Creek they would really be unstoppable.

I'm down with Luda

Thats right, Kate and I had a Fast and Furious movie marathon. Pretty cars, pretty boys, and an easy to follow plot. What more could you want in a movie? Three down two more to go.

Winter is here

Didn't see this coming. And didn't see it out my window while getting ready this morning either. Just a little surprise when I got outside.

Spin

For christmas my brother got me passes to a local gyms spinning class, where his friend is an instructor. I went to my first one tonight. It was fun. So far so good.

Ugh

A couple months ago I was so happy when I got the call that school was starting a week and a half late. Today is the day it starts catching up with me though. While all the people in the business world have off for the new year, I have work. This must be what they feel like in summer.

Happy new year

Happy new year! Every couple years I have a really great new years eve. According to the tradition those should be good years. However, I have discovered that those are usually my worst years. Using that same logic, you would assume that a boring uneventful or bad new years eve would lead to a good year. Since yesterday I attended a funeral, drove for hours, then went to bed way before midnight away from home, today should be the first day of a good year. Welcome 2012!
