You can pay for school...

I love when class is interesting and you learn something you will remember for life. My class this semester is about being an effective leader. We had the most interesting activity yesterday. There were 4 teams and each team had to vote blue or red. If you and the team you were partnered with both voted blue, both teams got 5 points. If 1 team voted red and 1 voted blue, the blue team had to give the red team 5 points. If both teams voted red they both lost 5 points. I thought the activity was going to be really stupid because everyone would just pick blue every time. Turns out that is the view point of a trusting person. People were picking red all over. We were allowed to conference and make decisions together and people would still lie to benefit themselves. We learned very quickly how fast a trust can be broken. Eventually teams tried to back stab the unloyal teams and everyone was losing. It was so eye opening! Im going to remember this when I become a leader. Four rounds of this game and I went from thinking everyone would do what was best for the team to realizing once a trust is broken its hard to recover. Not everyone thinks alike. Good job professor!
